Whitehall's Fire Department is all Volunteer Department Consisting of three organizations working together.

The Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department and the Town of Whitehall Fire Department have been protecting the town of Whitehall since 1898.

Jefferson Valley Rural Fire Department has been protecting the rural Whitehall Areas since 1952.

Business meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7 pm, Training meetings are the 4th Tuesday of every month times vary.

To Become a Volunteer Fire Fighter, talk to a current member or Fire Chief to learn about what is required. Then stop by the Town Hall and fill out an application and attend the next fire department business meeting. After approval by both the Members of the WVFD and the Town Council, you can start training.
